The CIC Pensions App enables members of Jipange, Umbrella and the Occupational Schemes under administration by CIC Life Assurance Ltd to access and perform the following activities on the app.Key features of the appViewing member & scheme profile- a member is able to see the details as captured in the system and is able to amend mobile phone & email address information on the app.
The details of the scheme of which one is a member is also displayed for the member’s knowledge.Viewing and downloading member statements- a member is able to generate annual statements from 2016 to date.
Just indicate the start date i.e.
01/01/2016 to 31/12/2016 and click on generate to be able to view your statement.
There is also a feature that allows you to download the statement to your tablet or mobile device.Viewing contribution history- stay up to date with the progress of your contributions by having a visual of the individual amounts contributed and the actual dates of contributionViewing and amending beneficiary details- a member is able to see the details of the beneficiary name, their relationship to the beneficiary and the percentage allocated to each beneficiary.
Amendments to the beneficiary information is possible subject to approval by the pension team.Visual of annual contribution trend- here a member sees the fluctuation of their fund value with each contribution made to the fund or each withdrawal made from the fund.Facility to send inquiries to the pension team- using the Help functionality, any inquiry sent by the member reaches the pensions team and the team is able to reach out to the member and address their question.Pension calculator to project accumulated fund value- available for both salaried members and individual members, the tool factors in the gross monthly salary, desired contribution amount, the expected annual interest rate, current age and desired retirement age to give a projected fund value and pension at retirement based on that fund value.CIC branches locator- a member can locate any of the CIC branch offices country-wide using this feature with the exact details of the branch location shown below the map.Links to member handbooks and other products offered by CIC- aside from pension administration services, CIC also offers Individual Life, Group Life, Motor Insurance, Medical Cover and Unit Trust savings channels and more information about these services is available through this functionality
